Get a life!

To the one who tried to call me to the carpet,

It is NOT my responsibility to protect your closeted status. If you want to remain "In the closet", that is certainly your business and it is your right to do whatever the Hell you want with your life.

What I do ask is that IF this is your choice, do NOT date openly gay men, do NOT flirt with same sex co-workers who are out of the closet, do NOT send them countless text messages with pictures of your wanker, do NOT invite them into the bathroom at work to have sexual moments, do NOT post profiles on gay websites with half naked/naked pictures of yourself for all the world to see, do NOT go to gay bars, get totally blitzed and then practically have sex on the dance floor with those of the same sex, do NOT post in the Men for Men section of Craigslist that you are looking for same sex encounters, and finally and most importantly, DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ALL AROUND AND BLAME ME FOR OUTING YOU TO SOMEONE WHO YOU WANTED TO KEEP THIS A SECRET FROM.

I have spent many, many years working through my own sexuality issues and coming out to my family and friends. I have gone through countless years of therapy and spent many hours, days, weeks, months, and years working through all of this with family, friends, church leaders, therapists, and any and everyone who I love and care for. I did not do all of this to crawl back in the closet because you chose me to open up to. When we became friends, I did not sign a contract that I would keep everything that you ever tell me a secret. I did not ever agree to not share that part of my life with those I know.

Mostly, HOW DARE you blame me for anything when you have been so careless about your public displays of affection with other men and your very open sexual contact with others of the same sex in public places. The internet is not some secret, private place that nobody ever uses or looks.

DO NOT BLAME ME if your friends found out your gay. DO NOT!!!! DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!! I am not sure what delusional world you live in where you think "I" am the cause for your problems. You have made your own choices and you have taken many, many actions that have outed yourself to the world. You are an adult. Grow up and take responsibility for your own actions.

Thanks for your hateful spew of accusations today on Facebook and thank you for deleting me as one of your friends. It saved me the time of deleting you first.

-Mark
