My Couch Potato lifestyle has once again caught up to me. It is Spring and I am feeling lethargic, tired, irritated, and just plain FAT!
Lately I've been working on getting my shit together so that I can (once again) start to drop some pounds. I have been VERY scared to get on the scale because I was afraid that I would weigh in around 300 pounds. That just scares me! The past few weeks I've really begun to mentally prepare myself for another round of weight loss.
Today I got up (It's my day off) and had a quick shower and hopped right into by shorts, a tshirt and walking shoes. I grabbed my tunes and headed out the door for a few miles of walking. Once I got home, I pulled out the scale and took the plunge. The results weren't as bad as I thought, but still they are BAD.
As of today I weight 261 pounds. I suppose looking at the bright side, this is 39 pounds lighter than I originally thought I would be.
Several years ago I purchased the 6 week body makeover program. It has a great workout program in it that I can do in the confines of my own bedroom. I pulled that out today and looked through the book. I also did my full body measurements. It's all down on paper so I have a starting point to gauge my success against.
So here lovely pictures of my fat WHITE boy body. I'm also planning on watching what I eat and will begin walking on my lunch hour at work.
So there ya go! I'm motivated to take baby steps and I am not expecting any quick results. I'll keep ya'll posted with my progress.
Wish me luck and here we go!!!!!!!
HAH! Good luck My friend! I've committed myself to loose 20 lbs by June 13th. (starting April 26th)
ReplyDeleteI jog/walk for 3 miles every day and I still managed to gain 20 lbs over the winter. Damn chocolate and beer, why do they have to be so yummy!
But I'm doing it. I've lost 8 lbs so far and the trend is continuing. All I'm doing this time is just counting calories and drinking lots of water and making sure that I don't exceed 1700-1800 calories a day. That way I can still have my chocolate and beer at the expense of not just eating only chocolate and beer. I mix it up with an apple or a banana once in awhile.
Good luck.
Good luck my friend!! I have faith!
