I've been reading a book lately about this guy who works for a newspaper agency. He randomly picks names out of the phone book and then contacts those people and interviews them about their lives.
In one chapter he interviewed a young couple that married at a very early age. He then contacted them a few years later to see if they were still together and they were. They now have three or four kids and the writer wanted to know what keeps their family together. He asked this family to sit down and write a mission statement of sorts that described their family unit and what family means to them. I am including their mission statement because it rang soo true in my life. Not only does it describe my emmediate family; ie: brothers, sister, and parents but also all of you. Thanks you for being my friends and for being a part of MY family. I love you all very much and think of you often. I am soo greatful to have such wonderful people in my life to love, care for, lift when they are down, and vise versa.
Enjoy:
"A family is the people who will love and be there for you no matter what. They are there to pick you up in hard times and to share your joy. You never give up on them and you'll do whatever it takes to stay together; such as compromise, communicate, sacrifice and most of all, love one another. A family is your heart and soul next to God."
